2015 ORCV MELBOURNE TO GEELONG RACE

How Bizarre, a Seaquest RP36 (S13) sailing out of RMYS, recently participated in the 2015 ORCV Melbourne-to-Geelong (M2G) Racing Division B event, held on Saturday 12th September 2015. Conditions were excellent with a 10 – 15 knot northerly under a blue sky and a balmy mid 20 degrees temperature.

How Bizarre sailed a great race and achieved some excellent results:
1. How Bizarre WON line honours in Division B by 4 minutes over Matrix.
2. How Bizarre also WON the AMS handicap for Division B by 1 min 20 secs from Biddy Hu II and The Bookmaker.
3. In the PHS category for Division B, How Bizarre WON by 7 min 20 secs from Biddy Hu II and The Bookmaker.
4. And in the IRC category, How Bizarre came 2nd to The Bookmaker by just 60 secs in the 6 hour race.

When you consider the overall race incorporating the 41 boats entered in both Division A & Division B:
1. How Bizarre came 13th overall across the line (line honours) for both Division A & B
2. How Bizarre came 1st in AMS overall for both Division A & B
3. How Bizarre came 4th in IRC overall for both Division A & B

Well done to the Skipper Scott Robinson and his crew, who celebrated well into the night at the after-party held at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club.
