HOW BIZARRE WINS IRC & AMS IN THE 2017 CHARLES MARSHALL TROPHY – Race 1
How Bizarre, a Seaquest RP36, entered in the Summer Weekend Series under the IRC, AMS and PHS Handicap Divisions.
We had a crew of 4 with Scott, Redders and Amers, and ably assisted by Karen Reddish.
About 25 boats started in the fleet with all the usual suspects present (except no Gienah or Antagonist) and with wind conditions the most flukey and variable that any of us had experienced.
IRC Results Race 1:

2. Salamander III (1:39:34)
3. Primitive Cool (1:44:09)

The winds started Southerly-Northerly-Easterly-Northerly again and about 10 other directions in between, and having wind speeds of about 5 kts – 8 kts – 0 kts -10 kts – 0 kts – 5 kts and then 15 kts as we sailed back to RMYS.
Great result with ample room for improvement.
