2017 MEASUREMENT CUP

Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club (HBYC), the Organising Authority, invited entries from keelboats currently on the register of a Yachting Australia (YA) and/or Yachting Victoria (YV) affiliated yacht clubs to the Brass Monkey Winter Series, to be conducted over 9 races on the waters of Port Phillip between 13th May and 9th September 2017.

How Bizarre, a Seaquest RP36, participated in the Measurement Cup for the Spinnaker Division 1 series under the IRC and AMS handicap ratings. There was no PHS handicap rating for the Measurement Cup.

After 9 races over 4 months, How Bizarre WON the Measurement Cup for both the IRC Class Rating and the AMS Class Rating.

IRC Overall Result:
1. How Bizarre .. RMYS (12 points)
2. Jungle Juice .. RMYS (20 points)
3. Absolut .. RYCV (20 points)

AMS Overall Result:
1. How Bizarre .. RMYS (16 points)
2. Mainstay .. RYCV (25 points)
3. Absolut .. RYCV (29 points)

Congrats to crew members Scott Robinson, Steve Reddish, Peter Haug, Glenn Bailey, Damian Kininmonth, Paul Horsey, Marcus Brandt and Peter Amarant. Thanks to Grant Keys for his support and for warming the bench.

The rum and cokes were flowing as we celebrated at RMYS.
