This hugely popular race on Port Phillip Bay is held each year on Boxing Day (26th December).

The 34nm course starts near Station Pier in Port Melbourne and is designed to sail past major bayside locations, including Royal Brigton Yacht Club (RBYC) and Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC).

Besides being a great classic race in its own right, the event serves as a feeder for the blue water classic Melbourne to Devonport and Melbourne to Hobart ocean yacht races.
